Competition Prerequisites
During the 16 weeks, all Youth Researchers commit 8 hours per week to the Competition and related tasks.
During the 16 weeks, all Team Leaders commit
10 hours per week to the Competition and team management.
*Should the time commitment becomes impossible, individuals will be advised to exit the 2021 Competition.
*Team Leaders have the right to exclude individuals who remain on the team but unable to contribute a fair amount of work or fail to show personal growth from receiving research credit and team awards.

2021 YRV International Competition Opening Ceremony     

Participants: All 10 teams of youth researchers, YRV administrators, YRV NGO parterners, social entrepreneur contestants, various speakers, families, friends, school reps, community members.

 

 

Jul 26 Research Begins

Competition Judging System - 4 categories, 25% each

  1. Individual Growth in Research Skills

  2. Individual Growth in Social-Emotional Skills

  3. Team Research Study

  4. Team Future Action Plans

  • Final Self-Development Essay/Video - 40%

    • An essay or video presenting

      • Individual Growth in Research Skills and

      • Individual Growth in Social-Emotional Skills

Due Nov 12, Friday @9pm

  • Final Research Manuscript - 15% (Late submission will not be accepted.)

  • Future Action Plans (No longer required.)

Final Showcase Events      (Cancelled) 

Participants: All teams, research advisors, mentors, various speakers, youth researchers' families, friends, community members.
